Creamy Coleslaw

The coleslaw that belongs next to pulled pork and burgers. A bag of coleslaw mix gets tossed in a sweet, tangy dressing of mayonnaise, sugar, white vinegar and salt. Then it chills for at least thirty minutes, which softens the cabbage and lets the dressing soak in. A few minutes of work, and the fridge does the rest.

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, the sugar, the white vinegar and the salt together until smooth.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix and toss until every shred is coated.
  3. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. Straight from the bowl it tastes raw; the wait softens the cabbage and lets the dressing soak in.
